CTST works with an associated charity, Key Community, to run a foodbank, which has associated activities to support people in difficulties. There are regular children’s holiday activities and food programmes, school uniform recycling and support from the Fuel Foundation. Referrals are made to other services to support those in crisis to help them move forward. There are also opportunities to raise awareness of poverty issues
CTST has been working with the Anglican parishes in Jarrow to support people in debt, for example dispersing household support grants
